If you we’re friends with me on swarm (which I know you’re not), you’d know I have a slight obsession with the dollar store. I saw these diy snow globes there the other day and knew we just had to make them as part of our twelve days of handmade Christmas crafts countdown. I was able to pick up three, and Fox decided he wanted to make one for each of “his babies for Christmas”. We used some of Fox’s arctic animals and our handmade bottle brush trees to fill the base. With a dash of glycerin, water, and glitter, our little winter wonderlands were born.
Snow Globes Tutorial
- Globe or jar
- Bottle brush trees
- 1 Tbsp glycerin
- Hot Glue
- Sandpaper the globe base or jar lid to allow the glue to stick better. Hot glue the figurine and trees to the base. Add extra glue covering the base or lid and sprinkle with glitter. Allow to dry for several hours.
- Fill globe or jar with water leaving enough room for your figurine. Add a tablespoon of glycerin and a few dashes of glitter.
- Spread hot glue around the base or jar lid and lower into the water to attach. Allow to dry.
